Communication is one of my biggest values. It's like I believe so much in communication, like a religion, really! So why is communication so important to me? I am always saying how big a fan I am of communicating and I believe that anything can be solved with the right way of communication. I am saying the right way because if I try to communicate with full emotions of anger the person in front of me will immediately take a defense mode, position and behavior and most probably I will not share the correct message, and what I really want to communicate.
But you know how I love sharing with you my point from personal experience so here I am again. Recently I have been feeling that I'm communicating some of my feelings but I wasn't receiving understanding. I am saying receiving because it's common to share your feelings and through communication you both find a common way of understanding, you both receive understanding.
I was seeing that it was really difficult for the other person to really understand me. After some weeks of a kind of frustration, because it was really important for me to find understanding on that matter. I didn't give up my communication loyalty, I was feeling empathy for the other person but also the need of myself to feel understood.
How does all this resolve? With communication, patience and empathy. Some people need more time to understand your feelings, your emotions, that doesn't mean that they don't care but that is an entire piece of information for them that they need to process in their own way.
Communication and understanding always wins. Be loyal to your beliefs, communication is our key to share our perspective with love and compassion
